To find the area of a triangle, you just need to multiply the base times height and divide by 2.
Since a parallelogram is divisible into 2 equal triangles one-half the area of the parallelogram.
Example: If you have a triangle that is 6 inches long and 4 inches wide, then to find the area of the triangle is: 6 x 2 = 12 square inches
