How to Get Rid of Bad Breath

Whether you have permanent or temporary bad breath, the way to get rid of bad breath is by eliminating the causes. Some of the causes of temporary bad breath are the intake of certain food and beverages plus smoking. A few of the causes of permanent bad breath are cavities, gum problems, an underlying illness, and the high presence of volatile sulfuric compounds in your oral cavity.

Volatile sulfuric compounds, also known as VLC, are the waste product of bad bacteria. These kind of bad bacteria thrive in dark and damp places. The back of your tongue is the ideal environment for them to go about completing their life cycle, which is to eat, multiply and discard their waste. If you look in the mirror and take a good look at the back of your tongue and see that it is whitish…that is VLC.

To get rid of bad breath, first you need to brush both your teeth and tongue regularly. A professional  cleaning is also needed as plaque contributes to less that sweet-smelling breath. Once that is accomplished, stick to a good oral hygiene routine. This would help remove those VLC compounds and create an environment where they will have difficulty to thrive in. One good oral hygiene tool to use is a tongue scraper, which can remove the white stuff that appears on top of your tongue. It is also necessary to change your toothbrush as soon as the bristles are no longer straight or at least every 3 months.

What a dentist would recommend as a good oral hygiene is to brush your teeth 3 times a day and floss. Doing this will get rid of any food particles that are left in between your teeth and under your tongue. It can reduce bad breath and keep your teeth healthy but to eliminate the bad bacteria in your mouth, it takes more than just a regular cleansing routine. It would take a strong and powerful combination of products to make your breath smell sweet and effectively put an end to the life cycle of most bad bacteria.

There are many products that are for sale that would only mask the smell, but would not get rid of the bad breath. There are well-known natural ingredients that would effectively reduce the foul smells emitted by the mouth, such as tea tree oil and mint. Zinc can also help to kill bad breath bacteria. When you choose the products you need to do a full cleansing routine, from the toothpaste that you use to the rinse, it is possible to find a product that contains these ingredients, like TheraBreath. Aside from eliminating bad breath from the sources, their line of products will cover nearly every need for mild to severe bad breath. You may also find the same ingredients in their mints, which will serve to get rid of temporary bad breath during times you are unable to clean your teeth and gums.

  1. Your I had faecal breath odour for YEARS. Talked to many doctors who took my money then show me the door….I finally had a friend who suffers too, send me a eBook he bought 5 or 6 months ago he ask me how his breath smelt and didn’t smell a thing. He said that TheraBreath worked amongst much else had him stop eating dairy food/ soft drinks and coffee/tea. So I’m like reading it and doing all the stuff it says to do. Thinking this has to be bull. But after a few days my tongue started turning red and felt nice. I worked up the courage to ask a friend how my breath smelt and he’s like I don’t smell anything. Now I’m thinking all those years of humiliation and I could have solved it ffs! When I read the site I felt sorry for the guy as he clearly had a real tough time with his bad breath, which pretty much ruined his school years. At lest he found a way to beat his bad breath and is letting others know how. Post this everywhere you can to help people!! Thanks R.JComments
